I had a call last week with a potential prospect only to learn that we were really not the right fit for the problem. Rather than hurry of the phone and move on to another opportunity, I stayed and we had a terrific conversation where I was able to discuss this person’s business in more general terms and I opted offered some ideas around a basic marketing strategy.
Result = happy person, with a better vision and a potential client at some point down the road…or maybe a referral from someone who would be a better fit.
