Ok, we are 2 weeks into the month and every sales manager on the planet is looking at the numbers and wondering if they have enough in the pipeline to meet their nut, right? Are you panicking yet?
Activity = Business folks and steady work habits yield results so don’t measure the numbers every day. Rather, measure your activity and make sure you are doing the right things and the business will come.
Do you analyze your activity every day? If you have a bad meeting do you take stock and see what went wrong? If you have a great meeting do you repeat what you did in the next meeting? If you win a deal do you ask the client why you won the business?
Come up with good behavior and repeat it. Great salespeople do these things and they work really hard. There really are no short cuts in life if you want to be successful. I heard a statistic in the Outliers that it takes 10,000 hours to master something. That’s almost 5 years of work, so get started today and you will always have a strong pipeline.
