Hiring is a lot like selling. You need a pipeline so you always have a supply of candidates when needed. And, it’s always better to hire someone you already know if that’s available so I make it a practice of maintaining relationships with my best employees for future needs.
Whatever you do, take your time and fill the slot with the right person. If a hire is not working out, cut your losses fast and move on.
You need good people to execute your strategy so get the right people on the bus.
