It’s a slightly cruel trick, but I always play hard to get if I am trying to hire a salesperson. If they hunt me down, pursue me with intelligence, figure out how to get me to call them back, then and only then will I even consider them for a sales role.
The hardest thing about hiring is knowing what you are getting so to the extent you can create a scenario that allows you to see the person in true form, the better your chances are of making a good decision.
I have a good track record of hiring so I think my methodology works. Try it.
Have a great week, we need some action!
