I remember a call with my uncle, who was a professional salesman, telling me he could finally stop “pushing” now that he retired. There simply is no end to a day or pursuit of business if you are a salesperson.
Someone posted this cartoon today, which says it all.
There really is no such thing as a day off when your job is to sell.

I tend to use the cruder term “pounding”, but it is essentially the same things…I always laugh when a friend or relative asks on a “debatable” holiday day (jewish holidays, Good Friday, etc.) are you “working” today. Like a salesperson is going to say “sorry I am closed today” if a prospect/client wants to sign a contract/proposal on that day? You can shake me awake at 3AM and put a phone to my ear, and I am closing!
So true, thanks Closah!
