A frequent reader of this blog suggested a good read by Maxwell, “Everyone Communicates Few Connect.”
I am not sure why our school system has not figured this out yet, but I agree with Maxwell whole heartedly! Great communication is really critical to be successful. Think about deals you have lost or clients you havent been able to connect with…I bet communication was the reason.
Be a connector and you will soar. It’s not that hard, really….like most things, it just takes a little effort.

Sometimes it takes more than just a little effort. It may take some practice.
I might suggest your readers not only think of deals lost because of inadequate communication, but also consider the their most successful transactions and the people they really connected with successfully.
Consider the differences… note them… and be very aware of how you use them in your future conversations. The more you realize about yourself, the more you will be able to learn about the person your trying to connect with.
