As much as we would like everyone to be a client, it just doesn’t work that way in business. First of all, your service will not be relevant for every buyer and secondly, others, that should be buyers will try and reduce your service to a commodity and buy on price.
If you want to build a brand, create value, grow a loyal client base – you have to stick to your guns – which means sometimes you have to walk away from a deal. If you have something good, they will come back. If they don’t, they shouldn’t have been a client anyway.
I have said this before and I stand convicted that something is not better than nothing when it comes to business.
Stand strong and sell with confidence. It’s a marathon. This is a winning strategy.
