I have always maintained that if you are selling something and want to speak to someone you have to make the call because the phone ain’t gonna ring very often. However, every once in a while the phone will ring and you had best be on your game!
I have been thinking hard the last few weeks about the appropriate lead gen engine for my new business. I still believe in the basics of cold calling and direct marketing but every market is unique and it takes time to refine the engine to maximize lead flow so your time can be spent working on opportunities.
Once you crack the code you are most of the way there if you can create a repeatable process but you’ve got to crack the code first. Then it comes down to the basics of hard work and basic blocking and tackling.
