I happened to catch an interview this morning with Sergio Marchionne, Chairman of Chrysler and Fiat. Wow, what an inspiration!
Aside from his miraculous rescue of Chrysler, what impressed me most was his philosophy on basic business and how important it was to create the right culture and environment for success. He truly understands the power in getting it right at the top of the organization.
I sure hope Chrysler is a public company soon, because this is a man I will bet on. He sure seems to understand the formula for building a successful organization and he leads by example.
I can’t tell you how many businesses get these leadership basics mixed up.
