We were talking about the volume of buzz words that exist today and we need a dictionary for each industry to keep up with the ever expanding list of buzz words….

So why am I focused on win-win?  I’ll tell you why.   I think relationships are the key to success in business and life and unless both sides feel like they have a good deal you won’t create a lasting, meaningful relationship.  That’s why I love win-win and why I think that’s the key.  As long as you can help your client feel like they are getting a good deal and you are also getting a good deal – well that’s a beautiful thing and you will close lots of deals and have lots of great clients and relationships.

We closed a deal today and the reason we got there is because we didn’t lower the price like the client wanted, rather we shortened the term and maintained the pricing integrity and both sides were happy.  Voila!

I will let you ponder this belief and I remain – If it’s not a win-win then it’s not a good deal for either party.
