My Dad boxed in the Navy and told me he wasn’t very good but when he got knocked down he always got up and that trait carried him through life and made him a success.
What happens when you get “knocked down”, lose a deal, have a bad presentation, don’t hit your quota…? Do you get up and keep fighting?
Quitters never win.

I agree Brick: In the words of Rocky…”It’s not hard you get hit… it’s about hard you can get hit and still keep going forward.” Check out my blog http://www.cornermanblog.wordpress.com (the post before last entitled “The measure of a man”) I think we’re speaking to the same thing! Go forward!
thanks bruce, just read and commented on your post.
Jon.- Your post got me thinking.
You’re absolutely right: when you get knocked down you must get up and keep going/fighting.
HOWEVER you must also think strategically about the fights that you’re fighting and how you fight them. If all you do is get knocked down then you don’t really “win” much do you? (maybe a thicker skin)
Sometimes what is so commonly called quitting can actually mean rethinking strategies and goals.
It’s ok to quit sometimes if your know how is better spent somewhere else. That doesn’t make you a looser.
Fabienne – first, how are you and thanks for posting! I agree on both counts….it would be silly to keep fighting if you always got knocked down so the key is to learn why so you don’t get knocked down but the real challenge for most is the guts to get back in the “ring” and fight again.
I’m doing fine Jon thanks. I’m definitely in the ring fighting! Hope all is well on your end.
A une prochaine!
Merci
